This summer I am spending some time hanging out up in Mt. Hood, OR riding halfpipe with the US Snowboard team. During the 2 1/2 weeks we are up here we have a taken a few days off snow just to hangout and enjoy some real fun summer activities and give our legs a little time to re-cooperate from long days of hiking.
Our activities have included golfing, cliff jumping, rope swings, basketball games, BBQ's, windsurfing, Scattergories, blackberry berry picking, and Monopoly. Our days off have been just as action packed as our days on hill so they don't really feel like rest days, more like a chance to get as much summer time in as possible before we head back up to the snow. :)
There really is nothing better than waking up and having an action packed day with a fun group of close friends. Carpe Diem... Or seizing the day has been the motto for our time out in Mt. Hood and it is creating one of the best summers ever!
