I recently got back from my first trip to Fiji. I was invited on Nixon's annual Texas Hold Em' event in Tavarua. The main goal of this event is to bring together people from all different sports in the Nixon team, surf great waves, get to know each other, and engage in tons of fun activities that ultimately create a big competition throughout the week on the island. There were tons of different categories that are part of the overall Texas Hold Em' contest; A poker tournament, karokee contest, ping pong, surfing, biggest fish caught, scavenger hunt, pirate night, and a surf knowledge contest.

I spent the week, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, stand up paddling, searching for scavenger hunt clues, laughing, swimming and just relaxing. To put the icing on the cake I ended up winning the poker game! My prize...a full expenses paid trip to Vegas to try my luck there! I plan on taking that trip for my 21st birthday! Talk about a great birthday surprise!

It was by far one of the most amazing trips I have ever been on. A ton of great people, all having a fabulous time in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Thank you Nixon for such a great time in the tropics! Bula Bula!
