5 Companies doing their part for the EARTH

5 Companies doing their part for our EARTH!

Happy Earth Day!!! The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. Twenty years later, Earth Day went global, mobilizing 200 million people in 141 countries and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage.

In honor of Earth Day I wanted to share some of my favorite companies out there truly doing their part to protect our environment and leave this Earth better for the next generation. Knowledge is power and our individual purchasing power is one of the strongest ways we can create change. Every time we each choose to purchase a product that puts our environment first it helps to move our economy towards more sustainable practices. It’s a simple step yet very effective step that we can all make to choose our environment first.

JUST WATER

Ok so sometimes there is just no getting around using a one-time use water bottle. JUST water’s packaging is made out of sustainably sourced paper and plant-based plastic and are 100% recyclable. JUST is also committed to protecting their water source so that we all can continue to drink clean water. CHEERS to that!

NIMBUS ECO

Tree free toilet paper! SO according to Nimbus 27,000 tress are flushed down the toilet every day in the US. THAT is a lot of trees. Trees are the backbone of our environment without them our Earth would have no natural air filtration and our oxygen would be depleted. Sustainably sourced bamboo is what is used to replace the use of trees…. Pretty genius if I do say so myself

SIMPLY STRAWS

Simply Straws has turned this plastic polluter of standard one-time use, unrecyclable straws into a must-have reusable, biodegradable accessory that you can feel good about sipping on. Not only does this straw reduce toxins you take in by drinking through plastic, it reduces the plastic thrown into landfills. It’s a win win, for our bodies, and for the environment.

BAMBU

Bamboo travel utensils might be the cutest way to help reduce our society’s plastic consumption. We all eat out, often times on the go… whether you are just grabbing a quick lunch from Whole Foods between meetings, or traveling through an airport, you need utensils and will always grab a plastic set, UNTIL NOW! Pack these little re-usable, sustainable bamboo utensils in your purse or bag and never put another fork into a landfill again.

JADE YOGA

Ever wonder where your yoga mat came from? Jade yoga mats are made from natural rubber and completely eco- friendly. Not only are they eco-friendly but they plant a tree for every product sold… reviving our Earth’s natural resources one sale at a time.
